HOPG（Highly Oriented Pyrolytic Graphite） is a new type of high purity carbon material, which is a new type of graphite material produced by pyrolysis graphite after high temperature and high pressure treatment, and its performance is close to single crystal graphite. Main applications include X-ray monochromator, neutron filter and monochromator, basic research performance, large size of graphite graphite interlayer compounds such as basic research, for microscopic analysis personnel provides a reusable smooth surface. Unlike mica, high directional pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) is completely nonpolar and is suitable for elemental analysis, and only carbon atom background signals are analyzed in the signal. High directional pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) has excellent surface smoothness which can be used as a blank background.
